We were having such a hard time trying to find the right kitchen for us and like many people we started with the big stores such as Wickes, B&Q and even Wren now they are in our area. We just weren't impressed by the lack of knowledge the sales people seemed to have at the big stores and more often than not they were extremely pushy trying to get us to leave a deposit there and then. We'd heard from a few people that a small independent company called Chris Strange Kitchens in Scunthorpe had an excellent reputation for quality and customer service and we couldn't believe that one of the DIY stores even told us that if we purchased our kitchen from them we should get the fitters from Chris Strange to install it as they were much cheaper and excellent fitters. The company is a family run business with a guy called Andy running the shop with his mum, and his dad and brother doing the fitting. We knew after being in the showroom 2 minutes that we would be pruchasing our kitchen from there as they were so friendly and there was no pressure whatsoever. As Andy had spent 10 years fitting kitchens himself his design was so much better and much more practical than the other places we visited.

Our kitchen was ripped out on a Monday morning and everything was completed (except tiling as we hadn't chosen them yet) by Friday tea time. That included electrics, plastering and flooring. I cannot Give these guys enough credit for the way in which they worked. They were so efficient and polite and nothing was too much trouble. Even with the sales that the DIY stores all had on Chris Strange Kitchens still managed to undercut them on price and with a better product and service too.

We stumbled across Peter & Debbies' showroom by chance one Sunday when starting to look for a new kitchen; from the outset Peter instilled confidence that he could design AND fit our kitchen (he admitted on his first visit to our house that he was not a natural salesman!).Throughout the process, during which we changed our minds over appliances etc. a dozen times, and no doubt have driven Peter & Debbie mad, they could not have been more helpful, and the end result is a kitchen we are extremely pleased with, which is a pleasure to cook in. All work was completed to a high standard (Peter is clearly a perfectionist) and all involved turned up when they said they would.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Peter & Debbie to others.

Review of   Hindley Kitchen Centre,

Well what can i say about Hindley Kitchens apart from fabulous. Myself and my husband went to many kitchen places before Hindley Kitchens to have a look at different designs etc and a friend recommended Hindley Kitchens to us and as soon as we met Alan the owner we knew how outstanding he was and how particular he was regarding his products. He went through everything with us again and again into fine detail he would guide us and let us know that certain things we wanted just wouldn't look right in our kitchen. He designed the kitchen with us and he had so much time for us, he even measured my ironing board and hoover so the larder cupboard was just perfect.

The one thing that is very good is Alan and his team double check every last cupboard before being despatched onto his delivery van and if there was one little mark etc he wouldn't send it out, so no worries of anything not being perfect. Alan takes that much care in his kitchens he even came back to look at how fabulous our kitchen looked when all completed. If you want a quality kitchen not over priced and great after service then please don't hesitate to go to Hindley Kitchens you WILL NOT be dissappointed what so ever.

We had a kitchen fitted by Trowbridge Kitchens in November 2010 and we could not fault them. They took slightly longer than the multi nationals of this world but with good reason. As Nick said to us if we get it worng then we have to return and fix it in our time so we always aim to get things right first time. Our kitchen was from Howdens and Nick and his colleague had to adjust the plans to suit our kitchen which don't always show up until the old kitchen is taken out. They sub-contracted the electrical work to another colleague and again we could not fault his professionalism - likewise with fitting the working surfaces. We would recommend them unreservedly.

If you are buying a new kitchen and you have more money than sense these are the people to go to. The sales reps are pushy and give it the hard sell to sign a contract securing a 'discounted price' for a 10% down payment. Be warned, you will not get this 10% back if you have second thoughts, or you come to your senses and realise you are paying way over the odds. My wife fell for the sales trap, fancy show rooms, well spoken, quick talking salesman. Only after further investigations did she realise how much mark up Sigma is making on these kitchens. This was at a very early stage as well, Sigma had not ordered one single item as my wife was still undecided on which kitchen design to go for, but somehow the salesman had still managed to get her to sign over 10% deposit.

The drawings they provide are very poor quality, they did not show an accurate description of what my wife wanted. Sigma took J1500 off me for some dodgy drawings. You can find exactly the same kitchen products elsewhere saving over 50%. We ended up going to Llandaff Laminates, who provided a thousand times better customer service, more honest and impartial, for the same kitchen on sale in Sigma, but for 50% less. The drawings they provided were far superior. Ok, Llandaff Laminates don't have the fancy showrooms, but if you can live with that and want to get a kitchen half the price, then please please!! avoid Sigma 3. All these kitchen providers get their products from exactly the same suppliers; Sigma just put a whacking mark up just for acting the middle man and having their so call 'designer name' applied to it. We asked for our deposit back, knowing full well they hadn't ordered any kitchen cabinets or units, but the smarmy Managers knew full well that we had seen through their pitch and mark up and wouldn't budge.

So J1,500 of hard earned money to Sigma for nothing. Although it gives me great satisfaction that even with this loss, with exactly the same kitchen model and top of the range Bosch appliances, we still saved 40% of what we would have ended up paying in Sigma. After further investigations, I have heard umpteen number of horror stories of Sigma fitting the kitchen, thank god I didn’t get that far. They had an advert out recently saying 'we aren't as expensive as you think', well, I got news for you Sigma, you are....very expensive. Give this lot a wide berth if you have any sense.

I have used Danny (Morgan Construction) for many years. They have undertaken many different jobs at my home (plastering, tiling, fitted kitchen, skirting, rendering just to name a few) and I have always been extremely pleased. There prices are good, always finish the job in the time specified, and are extremely tidy. Very trust worthy if im not able to be at home and can leave my keys with them. I personally wouldnt use another company now.

I have employed Morgan Construction Concepts on two occasions. The first time was to have my bathroom and kitchen completely renovated, the standard of work was excellent and finished in the agreed time. The second instance was to build from scratch a 12ft by 20ft workshop. Again workmanship was of high standard and completed on time.

We have used this company on three occasions and cannot fault the quality and reliability of thier work, also we thought the price they gave us was very good. Morgan construction, fitted a kitchen, various plastering job's put in a new stairs, wooden floors and a new roof on another property we own. We would now only consider using this company from now on.

I've employed Morgan Construction Concepts twice. The First time in 2006 to render my entire external brickwork. Then lay a new kitchen slate floor before a makeover on the whole kitchen. I was very happy with all this work so much saw I re employed the Company again in September 2008. This time I had the bath removed and replaced with a glass shower enclosure & the bathroom retiled in limestone with underfloor heating. The work was done to a very high standard and we're entirely happy with the finish.
